NO SINGLE PLAYER MODE
This is my first attempt at a custom map for Battlefield 2. Special Thanks to Jeza & s13sr20de for their preliminary testing and help with the map along with guidence in the style the map has taken. This is now day 6 worth of effort and we're feeling alot closer to finishing the map. But as always we're pretty sure there is still room for improvement.
Layout:
The map features a island with a channel running through the centre, the islands channel has a single bridge for transport between the two main battle areas. The theme behind the map is that the chinese are mining uranium from the island and exporting it to the mainland for weapons processing. The USMC Wasp Carrier is to far from the island to get there soon enough, so the USMC are deployed via Dropping in from the Lookout by plane. From here the USMC can travel down the mountain to the primary docks and capture the point giving them a Helipad, APC and additional Hummers. This point is crucial as it also has a TOW missle, Stinger and SMG mounted at the guard house entrance to the dock. From here they can proceed via water, or air or land to the other main island.
The Chinese start off with 2 x Helipad (2 x Chopper), Airstrip (1 Jet), Processing Plant, Docks. They can then move in to stop the advancing USMC troops and setup a better defence. They also are close to the old abandoned mine which has only a buggy but provides a great position to secure the only crossing bridge from above.
There is pleanty of visibilty as it is only early afternoon, light cloud cover and low sea-fog.
